THE BIG AUTUMN MARKET 2023 TAKES PLACE IN TRURO ON FRIDAY 27 AND SATURDAY 28 OCTOBER 2023. ENJOY HALLOWEEN-INSPIRED GOODS, SEASONAL FOODS AND FAB LOCAL ARTS AND CRAFTS IN THE BEST MARKET IN CORNWALL
Yes, we’re all waiting to head to the annual Truro Christmas Market 2023 when it starts at the end of November 2023 but in the meantime, don’t overlook the superb BIG Autumn Market 2023 this month, which is a collaboration between Truro Farmers Market and Cornwall Shop Small. This massive seasonal two-day market takes place at Truro‘s Lemon Quay on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 October 2023.
Shoppers are being invited to enjoy this ‘popular seasonal celebration of autumn in all its glory’. In fact, the market is billed as ‘a bite-sized festival of autumnal food, drink, crafts, arts and vintage wares over an unmissable two days’ in the heart of Truro.
The market takes place between 9am and 4pm both days. Visit more than 60 stalls and enjoy live music, interactive demos and street food along the way. In fact, there are some ‘sumptuous displays’ to admire even before you get to the goods on sale.
What goods are on sale at the 2023 Truro Autumn Farmers Market? Sustainable fashion. Locally crafted accessories. ‘Vintage treasures’. Ceramics, textiles, prints and jewellery made by local artisans. Food and drink traders who are well known to Truro Farmers Market with their harvest produce and autumnal goods. Root veg. Apples pies. Damson gin. Halloween-themed treats. Kimchi. Alpine-style cheeses.
As well as the grub and products to buy, also expect a pumpkin carving competition on Saturday 28 October 2023. Anyone who wants to enter must bring their completed effort with them, as well as a label with their name and contact details. Other workshops are being held over the weekend alongside demonstrations from artisan makers.
Once you’ve browsed the dizzying array of food, drink and local crafts at the Truro BIG Autumn Market 2023 (and you’ve done any early Christmas shopping you need to do!) then just soak up that autumnal atmosphere. After all’s said and done, this is just the precursor to the Truro Christmas Market 2023. We’ll be seeing a lot of Lemon Quay over the next couple of months…
