Indeed, we’re all looking forward to browsing the annual Truro BIG Easter Market 2023 when it starts on Friday 7 April 2023. And we’re looking forward to returning the next day on Saturday 8 April at the best market in Cornwall over the Easter period.
The BIG Easter Market in Truro 2023 is run by both Truro Farmers Market and Cornwall Shop Small, which is a market that showcases locally created wares from indie traders in Truro, based at Lemon Quay. Which is handy because this special BIG Easter Market is also based at Lemon Quay in the heart of the city over both days in April.
Shoppers are invited to explore all the foods, arts and crafts at the seasonal market, which some say should make for the best market in Cornwall, which runs from 9am to 4pm each day. We say it’s set to be the best market in Truro, at least and will be a blessing to anyone who wants to buy some great gifts and food for Easter.
Organisers say there will be a ‘bountiful selection of seasonal food, drink, arts, crafts and vintage wares to Lemon Quay’. Goods to snap up include eggs made with artisanal chocolate, hot cross buns, flowers, vegetables, street food, clothes and plenty of crafts across more than 60 stalls. Also expect live music throughout and an Easter trail for the kids.
Fresh fish and shellfish from Helford-based boat Lady Hamilton will be up for sale, as will some scrumptious grassfed beef from Treway Farm. On the St Piran’s Pork stall, visitors ‘will find all the sausages, bacon and hog’s pudding required for those bumper Easter weekend breakfasts’, say the market organisers.
Go big this Easter when it comes to food and gifts. Go BIG, in fact. And then go home happy. Have a good Easter!
