CORNWALL’S BIGGEST LIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL, BOARDMASTERS 2025 TAKES PLACE BETWEEN WEDNESDAY 6 AND SUNDAY 10 AUGUST 2025. WANT TO KNOW WHO’S PLAYING AT BOARDMASTERS 2025? TAKE A LOOK HERE…

Newquay and summer, for many, means surfing. For five days in August 2025, though, it means surfing, live music and an inimitable party atmosphere. The annual Boardmasters festival returns to the Cornish seaside town for its 2025 edition between Wednesday 6 and Sunday 10 August 2025. Prepare for fun in the sun as you get your glowsticks in the air along with more than 50,000 other festival fans.

But who is playing Boardmasters 2025? Well, organisers have so far acts including the inimitable RAYE, The Prodigy, Central Cee, Nelly Furtado, London Grammar, Maribou State, Franz Ferdinand, Sub Focus and Wet Leg. Also announced were Kaiser Chiefs, Natasha Bedingfield and Rizzle Kicks among many others, with more names still to come – expect the usual 100-plus strong lineup, covering everything from headline bangers to late-night electronic sessions.

Boardmasters, which first hit the shores in 1981, is a mix of world-class music and extreme sports, with surfing, BMX and skateboarding competitions taking place alongside the tunes. Fistral Beach hosts the surf, while Watergate Bay becomes a music mecca, with stages, tents and thousands of campers soaking up the vibes.

The 2024 edition saw Stormzy, Becky Hill and Chase & Status on the Friday, with Sam Fender and The Streets taking over the Saturday, before Florence + The Machine closed things out on Sunday. But if this year’s lineup is anything to go by, 2025 is shaping up to be even bigger.

There’s always more than music at Boardmasters. Wellness areas, beachside yoga, food markets, silent discos and surf schools all feature across the site. And once the main stages close, Newquay’s clubs take over for the official after-parties.

Tickets sell out quickly – no surprise given the scale and setting – but even if you’re not inside the gates, the energy spreads throughout the whole of Newquay. It’s an atmosphere like no other.

If you’re under 16, you’ll need to be accompanied by an adult over 21. Anyone 16 or over can attend solo – just bring ID.

So, who’s playing Boardmasters 2025? RAYE, The Prodigy and Nelly Furtado headline, with London Grammar, Wet Leg and Maribou State also set to perform. And if that wasn’t enough, the likes of Kaiser Chiefs and Rizzle Kicks will be there for the ride too. With over 100 acts across the weekend, you’ll want to keep an eye on the lineup announcements as they drop.

Presale for tickets opened in December 2024, and if you’ve secured yours, congratulations – you’re on your way to one of the best beachside blow-outs in the world. Surf, stage and sun – what more do you need?
