THE CORNISH CRAFT BEER 2023 CHARITY EVENT TAKES PLACE AT THE ALVERTON IN TRURO ON SATURDAY 4 MARCH DURING THE ST PIRAN’S WEEKEND CELEBRATIONS. PREPARE TO QUAFF… FOR CHARITY OF COURSE!
How do you fancy drinking the best Cornish craft beer in 2023 and raising cash for Children’s Hospice South West at the same time? Well, you can do just that on Saturday 4 March 2023 from 7pm at the Alverton hotel in Truro. Prepare to quaff for a good cause.
The event is being organised by Ben Keverne and Hannah Chapman, who sadly lost their baby daughter to Mitochondrial Disease in 2018. They have been raising money for ‘for the charities that have supported their family’ ever since and Children’s Hospice South West have certainly done that. In fact, this is the second Cornish Craft Beer Tasting Evening for charity they have organised (the first being in 2020) and, along with other events, they’ve raised almost £30,000 for charity over the past five years.
Expect ales and beers from across the Duchy to star at the event in the Alverton. Tickets are £20 each and that includes a welcome pint followed by five beers, each selected from different Cornish breweries. You also get some snacks and a pasty supper. And what beers, you say? Well, dark beers, pale ales and more are on the menu, with plenty of limited edition tipples to enjoy. Also expect a raffle and an exclusive beer launch from a local brewery. Which brewery? Go along and find out…
Ben Keverne is running his third London Marathon in honour of his daughter on his 40th birthday later this year. That will also be in aid of Children’s Hospice South West. Ask him all about that mammoth challenge when you sample the cracking local tipples at this special beer event in Truro on St Piran’s weekend 2023! Click on the ‘website’ option for tickets.
