FOR THINGS FOR KIDS TO DO IN CORNWALL 2023, LOOK NO FURTHER THAN THE ROYAL CORNWALL MUSEUM’S ‘MUSEUM MYSTERY TRAIL’ FOR KIDS AND YOUNG PEOPLE. BETWEEN 11 FEBRUARY AND 31 MARCH, ENJOY A SPECIAL EXPERIENCE…
Are you a parent looking for things for kids to do in Cornwall 2023? If you are then you’ve come to the right place. The ‘Montgomery Bonbon: Museum Mystery Trail’ at the Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro is set to be one of the best experiences for kids in the whole Duchy in chilly February and March too!.
Young people and their families are invited to ‘go undercover’ while they ‘test their detective skills’ at the museum as part of the national ‘Montgomery Bonbon: Museum Mystery Trail’ experience, which has been organised by both the Kids in Museums charity and Walker Books. The trail itself marks the release of new children’s book, ‘Montgomery Bonbon: Murder at the Museum’, which stars a 10-year-old super sleuth and was written by comedian Alasdair Beckett-King. The illustrations have been created by Claire Powell.
February and March 2023 in Cornwall is expected to be packed with events and activities for kids, however this trail, which runs from Saturday 11 February to Friday 31 March, is a must-experience thanks to sheer wealth of things to do that have been organised for all the youngsters who come along to enjoy it. There’s a ‘free moustache bookmark’ given out too for all those who take part.
The Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro is actually one of more than 50 museums in and around the UK that are organising events and trails to mark the new book. Each museum is also encouraging families to explore all their exhibits at the same time. Get hold of an activity sheet at the RCM and, as the organisers put it, ‘test out your detective skills, solve puzzles and have fun’.
So, if your child or children has a ‘mystery solving mindset’ then head on over to the Royal Cornwall Museum for a kids activity that will get you and them gripped. Also enjoy the chance to enter a grand prize draw competition on the Kids in Museums social media channels to win a signed copy of the new book and a cracking new ‘detective kit’. Crack the clues this half-term!
