EASTER MONDAY 2025 AT STERTS ARTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CENTRE PROMISES TO BE A ‘CELEBRATION OF BREATHTAKING LOCAL TALENT AND DELICIOUS FOOD OFFERINGS’…

Looking for somewhere to go on Easter Monday in Cornwall 2025? Looking for some incredible entertainment and food in the heart of Cornwall? Look no further…

From 12 midday on Monday 21 April 2025 at Sterts Arts & Environmental Centre’s Barn Theatre on the edge of Bodmin Moor near Liskeard, the ‘Easter Monday at Sterts’ extravaganza takes place with plenty of food and entertainment.

Devon-based contemporary dance company Richard Chappell Dance toasts the vibrant and thriving dance scene of the South West with a specially curated programme from 2pm that showcases some of the most exciting local talent in the region.

Land Empathy by Chappell explores the relationship with nature and each other. Alongside it, two new works from local dance artists will take the stage: a powerful new piece by Charlotte Eaton, What Does It Feel Like, commissioned through Supporting Acts, and an evocative extract from Silence Between Waves by Chappell, paired with a brand-new work by Aisha Namaani called No Idea What I’m Doing.

Both Eaton and Namaani are rising talents from the region, representing the strength and diversity of Cornwall and Devon’s dance landscape. This event marks a ‘;significant cultural moment’ for the venue, welcoming audiences back with ‘a day of movement, creativity and community’.

In addition to the performances, audiences can enjoy locally inspired food offerings from Rupert Cooper of Philleighway Cookery School and Cove Café at Hayle Beach, who will be serving delicious pre-show food from 12 midday. The menu includes a smoked Italian meatball sub, rocket, parmesan and pangrattato, as well as an Andalusian chicken flatbread, almonds and green salad, plus kids’ options.

These food offerings at Sterts are the first of their kind and further food events will be announced in the upcoming weeks. This Easter Monday event is a vibrant, family-friendly celebration of dance, food and the arts – an ‘unmissable chance’ to reconnect with local creativity in a ‘breathtaking rural setting’.
