THE LEGENDARY GRIFF RHYS JONES IS EXPECTED TO RAISE THE ROOF AT LAUNCESTON TOWN HALL WHEN HE BRINGS HIS “THE CAT’S PYJAMAS” LIVE SHOW TO THE CORNWALL VENUE ON SATURDAY 22 NOVEMBER 2025.

It seems like a lifetime ago when British comedy icon Mel Smith died. In fact, it is more than a decade ago since we lost the loveable funnyman, who was one half of the celebrated Smith & Jones duo.

Well, ever since then, his equally genius comedy partner Griff Rhys Jones has been continuing the duo’s legacy with TV appearances, live comedy shows and much more. And he’s heading to Launceston in November with a brand-new stand-up performance that should get the Cornish viewers laughing in the aisles.

“The Cat’s Pyjamas” is at Launceston Town Hall on Saturday 22 November 2025, from 7.30pm. He’s also presenting the show in Plymouth on Saturday 25 October 2025, also from 7.30pm at The Quad Theatre. You should be 14 years old or above to watch it.

Rhys Jones is back on the road after a hugely successful run last year. He will take audiences through a plethora of funny observations and comic stories as the comedian rambles on the ‘developing national permacrisis’, with subjects including family, fraud, age, nostalgia, TikTok, dogs, crocodile smuggling, midnight trains and much more besides.

Bring your best posers for Rhys Jones as he takes questions from the audience. “The Cat’s Pyjamas”, hosted by Fiery Entertainment by arrangement with YMU, follows his last international tour, “All Over The Place”, which saw him perform to capacity crowds across the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

Away from the stage, Rhys Jones is best known for his countless TV appearances: in Smith & Jones of course and in the ground-breaking Not The Nine O’Clock News. He’s a much-loved author and his TV documentary work has brought him much acclaim. However, the Welsh comedy wizard is never funnier than when he’s standing on a stage, recounting tales and, well, ‘rambin’ on’. Don’t miss.
