HALLOWEDEN 2023, THE HALLOWEEN EDEN PROJECT 2023 EVENT, IS A SPINE-TINGLING HALF-TERM 2023 CORNWALL EXTRAVAGANZA BETWEEN WEDNESDAY 18 AND SUNDAY 29 OCTOBER 2023. PREPARE TO BE SPOOKED IN THOSE BIOMES…

What do you get if you cross some massive biomes in the middle of a Cornish former china clay pit with some giant tress, spooky pumpkins and magic wands during half-term? Well, this, to be honest. Halloweden 2023 takes place between Wednesday 18 and Sunday 29 October 2023 at the Eden Project in Bodelva, Par, near St Austell. Prepare for some fun, some frights and a few mysteries along the way.

The monster environmentally conscious tourist attraction promises an all-new Halloweden adventure for kids and families over the October half-term week 2023 in Cornwall. Expect superstitions and traditions of Halloween across the site, with hidden treasures and witchy workshops for all ages. Also expect a serious message of conservation and love for your planet underneath it all.

Between 9.30am and 6pm each day (this includes the weekends and the Wednesday to Friday just before Halloween half-term week), you and your kids can ‘discover the ancient wisdom’ of the attraction’s ‘legendary tree giants’. These magnificent ‘giants’ are on ‘a special quest’ around Halloween 2023 to encourage visitors to the unique attraction to help them ‘protect the world’s forests’. They are hidden around the biomes and there are ‘extraordinary tales’ and ‘enchanting performances’ around them as well.

Other fab activities during the October 2023 half-term at the Eden Project include a wand-making workshop where a mystical guide shows your little terrors how they can truly become a witch or wizard. They can create their own wands during a series of tales and spells (and guidance from a ‘mystical character from the woodlands’, of course…). Do pre-book a spot in the workshop, though. It’s essential.

This Halloween week 2023 visit can be made even more special by a spin on the attraction’s ice rink, which opens on Saturday 14 October 2023 and runs until February 2024. Dress up in spooky garb and go for a skate, we dare you! As with the wand-making workshop, there is an additional charge for the ice rink and it also must be pre-booked.

There are also ‘relaxed sessions’ on offer throughout the half-term for those ‘who may benefit from a more informal experience’, including people with sensory or communication needs. Check out the official website for more on that.

In 2022, the half-term week saw ’10 trail points’ installed inside the biomes and in the gardens outside that delved ‘deeper into the origins of superstitions’. On top of this, there were ‘wild and wonderful stories’ in a special Pumpkin Patch, as well as ‘Weave a Web Workshops’ in the attraction’s Tipi. Oh, and that spooky ice rink was a hit last year too.

Make Halloweden your Cornwall half-term things to do 2023 extravaganza. Pre-book a time slot if you’re heading over to the attraction during half-term. Entry is not guaranteed without advanced booking. And then enjoy a great Halloweden 2023 with all the family!
