THE RMS TITANIC MURDER MYSTERY EVENT TAKES PLACE AT THE GREENBANK HOTEL IN FALMOUTH ON THURSDAY 17 NOVEMBER. PREPARE TO CRACK THE CLUES AND SINK SOME FAB GRUB IN A CORNWALL MURDER MYSTERY SENSATION!
Imagine the scene. It’s 1912 and you’re on the RMS Titanic on her maiden voyage. You’re sinking your teeth into a fantastic three-course gastronomic journey when… there’s been a murder! And it’s up to you to solve it (before the ship goes down, at least).
Now imagine a more realistic scene in the modern day. It’s 2022 and you’re at The Greenbank Hotel at the Harbourside in Falmouth. You’re surrounded by like-minded individuals, all sinking their teeth into a fantastic three-course gastronomic journey when… yeah, you get the picture. There’s been a murder and you’ve got to crack the code, ponder over the clues and unmask the killer in this deliciously creative immersive dining and mystery experience.
The RMS Titanic Murder Mystery event, which is performed by the Murder by Appointment murder mystery group, takes place at The Greenbank between 6.30pm and 11pm on Thursday 17 October. The organisers say that guests can immerse themselves ‘in a world of Edwardian elegance’ and step aboard the Titanic ‘for an evening of mystery and intrigue’. They enter the grand Riverbank suite for a three-course meal that’s been inspired by the era ‘as the secrets and relationships of each character are revealed’ before the murder takes place.
The Titanic-themed menu, which has been designed by the venue’s executive chef Nick Hodges, boasts dishes like the smoked fish rillette with pickled cucumber and the roast cannon of beef sirloin with smoked bacon dauphinoise potatoes. There’s a drink on arrival at 6.30pm and dinner is served from 7pm ‘with a side of scandal, mystery and murder’. Of course, 1910s fancy dress is positively encouraged – flapper style dresses, lounge suits, bowler hats and, well, anything else of that ilk goes. Just don’t wear anything that’s too tight. After all that incredible tuck, it’ll be murder getting out of those clothes later…
