THE NATIONAL MARITIME MUSEUM SPOOKY WALK 2022 IS ON MONDAY 31 OCTOBER FOR HALLOWEEN. KIDS AND FAMILIES CAN DRESS UP IN SPOOKY GARB AND EXPLORE THE FALMOUTH MUSEUM ‘UNDER THE COVER OF DARKNESS’…

There isn’t really anything scary about Cornwall’s National Maritime Museum in Falmouth… until Halloween, that is. The museum’s ‘Spooky Walk’ 2022 takes place on Monday 31 October. Of course, this isn’t really scary either if you’re an adult but if you’re a kid, well, it’s terrifyingly brilliant fun between 11am and 6pm.

Expect spooky stories for the under-fives around 11am, a load of mask and wand-making workshops for kids between 12.30pm and 5pm and a superb pumpkin trail that’s out all day. Also explore the museum ‘under the cover of darkness’ between 3.30pm and 6pm as the attraction’s team creates an event for families and kids all around the theme of ‘tricks, treats and tales’. Organisers say that visitors can ‘stumble upon spooky storytelling and treats’ as they wander around the building.

Youngsters can, of course, dress up as ghosts and ghouls for the occasion and you know what’s best? It’s all free! Plus, if you can’t make it on the day then look out for other creepy events at the museum, like the fun ‘Shivery Timbers’ puppet performances with songs that take place during the half-term week in the lead up to Halloween. Make it on the day or hit up another event. It’s all fun and sometimes frighteningly fun (for the little ones, at least!) at this time of year at the National Martitime Museum.
