THE NEWQUAY BEER FESTIVAL 2023 TAKES PLACE IN THE NORTH CORNISH TOWN BETWEEN FRIDAY 22 AND SUNDAY 24 SEPTEMBER 2023. PREPARE TO SAMPLE, QUAFF, DRINK AND BE MERRY AT THE BEST BEER FESTIVAL IN CORNWALL 2023!

Beer and Newquay go together like a horse and carriage, in our opinion. So will you release all that bottled-up energy and say cheers at the Newquay Beer Festival 2023, which just happens to be the 10th annual celebration of top tipples and brilliant brews?

Hendra Holiday Park on the outskirts of Newquay is the venue for the Newquay Beer Festival 2023, one of the best beer festivals in Cornwall 2023. The 2022 edition was heralded as a success. The fest is organised and run by Newquay Towan Blystra Lions Club, as it has been since 2013. It’s a ‘beery’ event, of course but we mean this in the most relaxed of senses as the festival encourages responsible drinking, with anyone who looks under 25 years old being asked for their ID on the spot.

The 2023 event takes place between Friday 22 September and Sunday 24 September 2023. But what’s actually at the fest? Well, try this for size: more than 100 beers and ciders, live music throughout the weekend and Chrissie’s Sunshine Bar, which serves up Cornish gin and ‘chilled fizz’ over all three days.

Every year, the club puts on what members label ‘a superb group of musicians, bands and entertainment for you to enjoy’ throughout each day. This year, look out for Rachel Best, Jason Lockett and The Qwest on the Friday, Oll An Gwella, Fiddlefit and The Fortyfours on the Saturday, and the Newquay Band, The Clams and Bow River on the Sunday. Of course, there are plenty of other fab acts, ranging from rock to folk, on stage throughout the weekend.

The event has raised more than £80,000 for charity over the past 10 years and that’s ‘thanks to everyone who has attended but also our fantastic sponsors who make the event great value and possible to stage’, say the organisers. They are hoping to smash the £100,000 mark this year.

No walk-ins are allowed at the festival so you must buy your tickets beforehand. Click on the ‘website’ link above to do so. There’s onsite camping at Hendra, as well as motorhome pitches, so it’s a case of staggering just a few metres home after last orders each day for many visitors. Beers, ciders, music, a friendly atmosphere and a Cornish vibe. Ale see you there then!
