NINEBARROW PLAY THE COLLEGIATE CHURCH OF ST ENDELLION AT 7.30PM ON THURSDAY 23 MARCH 2023. CATCH THE MULTI AWARD-WINNING FOLK DUO INSIDE THE IDYLLIC COUNTRYSIDE CHURCH WITH HEAVENLY ACOUSTICS
Ninebarrow are some folk act. The duo of Jon Whitley and Jay LaBouchardiere have been taking the folk music world by storm over the past few years. And the lads play St Endellion Church near Port Isaac on Thursday 23 March 2023, from 7.30pm.
The multi award-winning duo have been described by radio broadcaster Mark Radcliffe as ‘two halves of one voice’. Their stunning vocal harmonies are nothing short of breathtaking and they should resonate beautifully inside the idyllic countryside church.
The boys play sumptuous folk melodies and homegrown tunes that have been inspired by the serenity and history of the land. Tracks like 2018’s ‘The Hour of the Blackbird’ and 2021’s ‘Nestledown’ just wrap their arms around you and give you a big warm squeeze.
Ninebarrow were nominated in the 2017 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards for the Best Emerging Artist prize and the lads won the Best Duo trophy at the Folking.com Awards 2019. Their last album, ‘A Pocket Full of Acorns’ in 2021, was highly praised and remains on the Proper Cornwall playlist to this day.
Head to the church on Thursday 23 March 2023 for an unparalleled folk music experience with one of the most promising young acts for miles around. Tickets are £16.50 each or £18 on the door.
