THE PENZANCE ROTARY CLASSIC AND VINTAGE CAR SHOW 2024 TAKES PLACE IN THE TOWN ON SUNDAY 7 JULY 2024. AN ARMY OF VINTAGE CARS WILL LINE UP ALONG PENZANCE PROMENADE FOR THIS CLASSIC MOTORING EVENT…

Penzance‘s Promenade is usually reserved for people who want to look out to sea to catch the boats, yachts, ships and any other transport that prefers the ocean waves. But not this event. No, this event uses the water (and Mount’s Bay) as simply a backdrop to all the classic vehicles that line up on the seafront, shimmering in the sun.

The Penzance Rotary Classic and Vintage Car Show 2024 takes place on Sunday 7 July 2024 along the town’s Western Promenade. It is expected to be on between 11am and 3pm as those were the times for the successful 2023 edition of this annual event. However, the times and other details are yet to be confirmed so watch this space.

The whole event is, not surprisingly, run by Penzance Rotary Club, which celebrated its centenary in 2023. Exactly 100 classic and vintage cars from across many decades were on display in 2023 to mark this milestone. The club was founded in 1923 by Town Mayor Howell Mabbott and, ever since, it has been ‘serving the community’ in Penzance and ‘improving people’s lives’.

The 2024 car show in Penzance is free for spectators and there will be refreshments available throughout the day. Vehicle classifications have yet to be announced by the club but expect up to 100 vehicles again this year. Donations will be in support of a charity that will be chosen by Penzance Rotary.

Watch this space for more details on the 2024 Penzance Vintage and Classic Car Show on Penzance Promenade, which will be supported by many enthusiasts. Vehicle entry details to follow. Motor on over to Penzance on Sunday 7 July. Just not too fast…
