Porthleven‘s food festival is billed as an event that ‘brings families and foodies together’. Enjoy ‘eats and beats’ around Porthleven’s picturesque harbour.

The three-day celebration between Friday 2nd and Sunday 4th May 2025 is presented in partnership with much-loved chef Jude Kereama and aims to celebrate Cornish food and drink producers while boosting the local economy in the town. For the 2024 festival, returning festival supporter Antony Worrall Thompson joined Kereama to present cooking demonstrations and food sustainability discussions. Expect big culinary names to return for 2025.

But Porthleven Food Festival isn’t just about what’s on your plate. Live music is a massive part of the weekend, and 2025 is bringing another belter of a lineup. Britpop fans are in for a treat on Friday night with Kernoasis and Parklife – two top tribute acts to Oasis and Blur who will take the festival right back to the golden days of the 90s. Saturday night sees a full show from the Old Time Sailors, bringing their legendary shanty party to Porthleven. Sunday takes things down a notch with a relaxed Open Mic Night with Spencer, showcasing the best of local talent with a few special guests thrown in for good measure.

Of course, the food is still the star of the show, and Porthleven Food Festival always attracts some of the biggest culinary names in the UK. Expect to see Jude Kereama, Antony Worrall Thompson, Tom Brown, Elly Wentworth, Josh Eggleton and other familiar faces on the chef stages. The Fishermen’s Quay will once again serve up seafood-focused cooking demos and discussions about sustainability, while foodies can sit in on masterclasses covering everything from speciality coffee to the latest food and drink trends.

There’s more than enough to keep you entertained in between eating and drinking. The Shipyard Diner’s Club returns with top catering outlets offering up taster dishes along the harbourside, while the Supper Clubs replace the previous Feast Nights at the Net Loft for a new dining experience. The Comedy Roast in the Chef’s Theatre will provide some much-needed belly laughs – quite literally – as chefs and comedians battle it out in a chaotic mix of cooking and comedy.

For those who fancy burning off a few calories, Vertical Blue will be offering free stand-up paddleboarding lessons every day of the festival. The Lime Kiln Stage will bring a programme of folk and shanty music across the weekend, while The Spingal Tent will play host to some of Cornwall’s best emerging musicians.
