THE ROYAL CORNWALL SHOW 2025 IS SET TO BE A BARNSTORMER. EXPECT ROYALS, CELEBRITIES, FARM ANIMALS, LIVE MUSIC, SHOWJUMPING, FOOD AND MORE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN THURSDAY 5TH AND SATURDAY 7TH JUNE 2025. WELCOME TO THE BEST SHOW IN CORNWALL 2025…

After an incredible three-day Royal Cornwall Show 2024, the stage is set for a cracking Royal Cornwall Show 2025. The 2024 edition of Cornwall’s biggest agricultural event of the year saw 117,447 people passing through the gates to enjoy sunny weather, the livestock, the machines, the food, and the upbeat atmosphere. With more than 1,000 trade stands, an expanded Food & Farming Pavilion, and thrilling main ring entertainment, the 2025 edition is expected to be bigger than ever.

It wasn’t quite the 120,000-plus attendance of 2022, which saw the then Duke of Cornwall (now the King, of course) making an official visit to the show just months before his mother died, but it was nevertheless heralded as a success. Now all eyes turn to the Royal Cornwall Show 2025, and expectations are high for another unforgettable event. But of course, we don’t know which royals will drop in just yet. And which celebrities will make it along too? Again, too early to tell, but the event always makes for some great celeb (and sometimes Royal) spotting.

Live Music & Entertainment

Music lovers are in for a treat at the Royal Cornwall Show 2025, with a packed schedule of live music acts performing across multiple stages. The main music stage will feature performances from brass bands, Cornish folk musicians, shanty groups, and contemporary artists. The entertainment line-up will also include traditional Cornish dance performances, choirs, and the much-loved Bolddog Lings motorcycle stunt team performing breathtaking aerial stunts in the main arena.

Main Arena Highlights

The Main Ring is where the action unfolds. This year’s highlights include showjumping competitions, inter-hunt relays, scurry driving, and the ever-popular Grand Parade of Livestock, showcasing Cornwall’s finest farm animals. But, to be perfectly honest, we prefer hanging out with the real celebs at the RCS: the farm animals. And there are always so many magnificent beasts to meet. Crowds can also look forward to thrilling sheepdog trials, falconry displays, and daredevil stunt performances that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. If you’re bringing the kids, don’t miss the Rare Breeds section, where they can meet and learn about traditional farm animals. New for 2025, there will be heavy horse displays and equine agility demonstrations.

Tickets & Tips for Visitors

Tickets for the Royal Cornwall Show 2025 are available online now, with discounts for early bird bookings. There are family passes and multi-day options for those who want to take in everything the show has to offer. Gates open at 8:30 AM daily, so arriving early is advised to beat the crowds. Parking is free, but spaces fill up fast, so consider using the park and ride service for an easier journey. For those travelling from further afield, the showground is easily accessible via public transport, with special shuttle buses running from Wadebridge and surrounding areas.

More than 200 years of agricultural history
If Proper Cornwall had been around in 1793, then we’d have been the first to bring you, via parchment probably, news about the first edition of this agricultural show that would shape Cornwall’s events calendar for the next 230 years (at least). We’d have featured the crowd of drunk (allegedly) Cornish folk who watched the ploughing match between local farmers that took place near the Red Lion Inn in Truro in that first-ever show.

And then, for the next 34 years, we’d have carried regular reports on the many livestock prizes that were given out at the ever-growing event in Bodmin. As it is, we weren’t around then. But we’re nevertheless proud to highlight the right royal success that is the Royal Cornwall Show in modern times.

Regarded as one of the last few authentic UK agricultural shows, the Royal Cornwall Show remains true to its roots and offers a real glimpse into the county’s rural life. Expect everything from livestock competitions and floral exhibitions to vintage machinery displays, and a huge variety of local food and drink stalls. There’s even a motor fair showcasing the latest in agricultural and commercial vehicles.

Coronation Blue cheeses are lined up on a stall next to a blackboard advertising Cornish blue cheese. This was for the coronation in 2023 but may be back for the Royal Cornwall Show 2024. There are all sorts of cheeses and samples on the stall at the show

Aside from the exhibits, there’s also a bunch of exciting demonstrations and competitions that bring the countryside life into view over the long weekend. Highlights include showjumping, inter-hunt relays, sheep shearing, and sheepdog trials. There’s even a major dog show that gets tongues and tails wagging.

Cornish cultural life also gets a run out with Cornish wrestling joining a programme that showcases local heritage exhibitions and traditional dancing. And to top it off, there’s a motor fair, an agricultural machinery exhibition, and tons of locally produced food and arts and crafts stalls alongside a packed schedule of live music.

Don’t miss out on Cornwall’s most regal event of the year – see you there from 5th to 7th June 2025! Phew! Enjoy the county’s most regal showcase of the year, right in the heart of the Duchy!
