THE ST IVES SEPTEMBER FESTIVAL 2025 RETURNS FROM SATURDAY 13 TO SATURDAY 27 SEPTEMBER 2025 IN THIS CHARMING NORTH COAST TOWN. EXPECT A FORTNIGHT OF MUSIC CONCERTS, ART EXHIBITIONS, STREET ENTERTAINMENT, FILMS, AND MUCH MORE…

St Ives is a delight to explore year-round, but it truly comes alive during the St Ives September Festival 2025, a 15-day celebration of music and arts. Scheduled from Saturday 13 to Saturday 27 September 2025, this festival infuses the picturesque seaside town with a vibrant mix of performances, films, open studios, workshops, talks, and abundant art.

In 2025, the festival’s headline music events will find a new home at the St Ives Theatre, following its major renovation. With a seated capacity of 312, attendees can, for the first time, book numbered seats—so it’s first come, first served for the best spots. The festival will kick off with lively street entertainment on both Saturdays, 13 and 20 September, setting an energetic tone for the fortnight.

The 2025 lineup is already promising, with Steve Knightley, frontman of Show of Hands, returning for a solo performance at St Ives Theatre on Friday 26 September. The Countrymen are set to ignite the opening night on Saturday 13 September, following their high-energy debut in 2022.

Venues across St Ives will host a plethora of events, including the Leach Pottery, Penwith Gallery, Porthmeor Studios, St Ives Arts Club, and the Tate St Ives. These spaces will feature special exhibitions, workshops, and open studios, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the town’s rich artistic heritage.

Music enthusiasts can look forward to a diverse array of performances. The Western Hotel will host free events such as the Big Cauldron Marathon Music Session on multiple dates, Sunday Sessions with Tim Neville, Global Jamming with Treve Nicol, Indie Folk Nights with Toni E, and Festival Songwriters Specials with Joe Duke.

Beyond music, the festival offers a rich tapestry of arts and crafts workshops, including abstract drawing sessions and book-making workshops. The annual themed walks are a highlight, covering topics from archaeology and local mysteries to exploring buildings once frequented by famous writers and celebrities. The festival caters to all ages, with children’s shows and workshops ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Comedy, theatre shows, gigs, films, exhibitions, poetry readings, talks, and open studios are all integral parts of the festival. The entire town collaborates to create an atmosphere brimming with creativity and inspiration.

If you thought St Ives was dedicated to art, experiencing it during September 2025 will reveal a town that not only dedicates itself to art but lives and breathes it, inviting you to share in its vibrant cultural heartbeat.
