THE COLOUR OF DINOSAURS TAKES PLACE AT STERTS ARTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CENTRE IN CORNWALL ON FRIDAY 6 AND SATURDAY 7 JUNE 2025. LEARN ABOUT THESE ANCIENT BEASTS VIA MUSIC, SCIENCE AND VIBRANT STORYTELLING…
Dinosaurs are roarsome. Fact. And you can celebrate them in all their beautiful shades when “The Colour of Dinosaurs” takes place at Sterts Arts and Environmental Centre, on the edge of Bodmin Moor, on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 June 2025. This is a ‘science pop gig for curious humans of all ages’.
This event is described as ‘a vibrant, emotionally rich and wildly entertaining science pop gig that takes you on a journey to uncover the real story of dinosaur colour through music, science, storytelling and spectacle’.
Palaeontologist Dr Jakob Vinther changed the world with his huge scientific discovery when he figured out what colour dinosaurs actually were. Now he swaps the lab for the stage alongside five musicians, who through music and stories, learn all about Vinther’s discovery.
This inclusive performance features Dom Coyote, Lloyd Coleman, Roxana Vilk, Victoria Oruwari and Harry Miller, who all perform as themselves, ‘sharing authentic stories, reacting to Jakob’s research and exploring what identity and discovery mean’ in their own lives.
The ‘most scientifically accurate dinosaur model ever made’ will also make an appearance. ‘Dee the Psittacosaurus’ shall reveal herself during the event alongside shadow puppetry, soundscapes and animations. Grab your tickets now by clicking on the ‘Website’ link above.
Also, Sterts are offering a handful of free music and drama workshops to young people on Monday 3, Tuesday 4 and Friday 6 June 2025. Artists Dom Coyote and Lloyd Coleman will lead. Expect music, drama and lots of learning. Places are limited and first come, first served, so email hello@stertsarts.org, and include your school’s name, age group, number of young people and a contact name and phone number. Jurassic Park!
