THE ICONIC WOMAN IN BLACK HEADS TO THE THEATRE ROYAL PLYMOUTH FOR A RUN BETWEEN TUESDAY 4 AND SATURDAY 8 NOVEMBER 2025. PREPARE FOR A CHILLING EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER…
Imagine the scene: you’re sitting in a theatre, looking at the stage and a performance is about to begin. You’ve heard about it before. You may have seen the film. But you really have little idea about what events are going to unfold tonight. Surely it’s not that scary, right? Well, let’s see: the performance begins and… ha, we’re not going to tell you what happens next… because you need to see it for yourself.
If you don’t like frights and things that go bump in the nights, then don’t catch “The Woman in Black” at the Theatre Royal Plymouth. But if you do like performances that seriously creep you out, this is the one for you. For 33 years, this production played a record-breaking run in the West End, with more than 13,000 performances at the Fortune Theatre before its final performance on Saturday 4 March 2023.
And now it’s on tour. More than eight million people in the UK have seen it on the stage. And most of them left the theatre with trembling hands but smiles on their faces.
“The Woman in Black” is on at Theatre Royal Plymouth between Tuesday 4 November 2025 and Saturday 8 November 2025. Tickets are on sale now, so we advise fans of ghost stories in Cornwall to snap a few up as soon as they can.
As before, we’re revealing no plot here. But we can say that the novel “The Woman in Black” was written by Susan Hill and that the Plymouth performance is one of 22 taking place across the UK. The PW Productions show stars John Mackay as Arthur Kipps and Daniel Burke as The Actor. And we’ll say no more.
Make the trip up to Plymouth in November for this performance. But make sure you’re not driving down any dark country roads afterwards. You don’t want to hit a speed bump in the night…
