BUDE LITERARY FESTIVAL 2024 TAKES PLACE BETWEEN THIURSDAY 16 TO SUNDAY 19 MAY 2024 IN THE BEAUTIFUL NORTH CORNISH COASTAL TOWN. EXPECT WORKSHOPS, TALKS, SHOWS, COMEDIANS AND MUCH MORE BESIDES…

Bude is a town teeming with talent. And it also doesn’t mind inviting big names in to its colourful array of annual festivals and events. So expect plenty of local talent and big names at the Bude Literary Festival 2024.

The 2023 festival took place over six days in May. Headliners at the 2023 festival, which took place across town at venues like The Castle Heritage Centre, Bude Library, The Kitchen Front and The Parkhouse Centre, included broadcaster and comedian Mark Steel and American comedian Rich Hall. Author Raynor Winn also led a ‘secret location walk and talk’.

Enjoy a range of walks, talks and workshops with local authors at the Bude Litfest 2024. And the workshops are well worth hitting up as they cover anything from history writing and becoming your own publisher to calligraphy, illustration and writing lyrics. Add to this a full programme for kids and family, including an ‘interactive character treasure hunt’ and you’ve got a festival for everyone.

Bude’s first ever literary festival took place in May 2022 with more than 1,500 people participating over the five days. The inaugural event, hosted by Bude-Stratton Town Council, was hailed as a success, as was the 2023 edition, which was also attended by hundreds of people from far and wide. Expect the 2024 fest to be bigger and better again.
