Cornwall is the king of local music festivals. We know it and you know it, so it’s a fact: we do the best town festivals in Europe, featuring only the best local bands, food, fun activities and, of course, people.
With this in mind, order yourself a Ploughman’s in August 2023. And by that, we mean get yerself to the Liskeard Ploughman’s Festival 2023, which is one of the best town festivals in Cornwall 2023. It should be a crime to miss it.
But why are we waxing lyrical about this fest? Well, it’s because we festival-goers at Proper Cornwall love the intimate nature of the Ploughman’s. There’s a real family vibe throughout the day, with plenty for kids to do and plenty of top local musical talent to enjoy.
Liskeard is a great setting for any colourful event but the Liskeard Ploughmans 2023 turns it up a notch when it takes place on Saturday 19 August 2023 between 10am and 8pm on the cricket field at Liskeard School and Community College off Coldstyle Road. This fest will feature the cream of the local music scene.
On the bill are the inimitable Black Friday, Division, The Taylor Trio, Robi Mitch and Damn The Wolves, all supporting the headlining act, six-piece folk-rock powerhouse Jonah’s Lift.
Also enjoy a local produce and crafts market at Ploughman’s 2023, as well as some tasty street food and an array of kid’s entertainment and activities throughout the day. And need a beer to go with those bands? Stop in at ‘The Ploughman’s Rest’ bar during your stay!
