THE LOOE BLUES RHYTHM AND ROCK FESTIVAL 2023 TAKES PLACE ON FRIDAY 1, SATURDAY 2 AND SUNDAY 3 DECEMBER AT TENCREEK HOLIDAY PARK ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF LOOE. ENJOY SOME OF THE BEST BLUES AND ROCK ACTS FOR MILES!
Are you a fan of the blues? Do you get lost in blues-rock, blues-folk, bluegrass and Americana music? If you do then you better be making your way to Tencreek Holiday Park on the outskirts of Looe on Friday 1, Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 December 2023. Because nowhere does these styles of music all in one place quite like the Looe Blues Rhythm and Rock Festival 2023.
This festival has been going for a few years now and it’s always packed, popular and much-loved. The 2022 blues festival took place over three evenings in December. A total of 18 acts took to the stage but these were no run-of-the-mill acts. These were some of the finest blues, rhythm and rock acts from miles around, all descending on the Cornwall stage for a shindig like no other.
For the Looe Blues Festival 2023, there are some cracking acts on the bill. The Cinelli Brothers with their unique brand of blues headline the Sunday after Welsh blues-rock titans Cardinal Black get the crowd pumped on the Saturday night. Bradford blues-rock guitarist, singer and songwriter Chantel McGregor headlines the opening Friday.
Cardinal Black. Too cool for school
Other major acts playing the 2023 fest include Fullhouse play Frankie Miller, The James Oliver Band, Brave Rival, the Wille Edwards Duo, Catfish, Groundhogs, The Animals and Friends, Crow Black Chicken and Ramblin Preachers. Plymouth blues legend Vince Lee will also be on the stage performing with Sophie Lord.
At the 2022 festival, smoky-voiced Americana-blues singer Elles Bailey headlined with English blues rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Laurence Jones and London-based harmonica player and singer Errol Linton all getting the crowd on their feet over the three days. But this year’s fest is set to be bigger, better and, well, bluesier.
To enjoy all of the incredible acts at the Looe Blues Festival 2023, a ticket with accommodation at the holiday park in one of the homely on-site caravans is highly recommended, however there are no-accommodation and single day tickets also available. And then you can forget all about those winter blues at, well, a Cornwall festival where the blues are to be experienced, enjoyed and celebrated in style.
