‘We are the Champions’. ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. ‘Killer Queen’. ‘Another One Bites the Dust’. ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’. ‘One Vision’. ‘We Will Rock You’… yeah, we could just go on naming awesome Queen songs but that would take up this whole page and none of us have got the time or energy for that.
We don’t really need an introduction to the lads and their massive hits at all, though, do we? Queen are, without doubt, one of the greatest bands to ever walk this planet, let alone this part of the world. And due to their unique brand of stadium rock, the boys have spawned an endless army of wannabes, look-a-likes and tribute acts over the years. Some are good. Some are not.
Some, however, are utterly spectacular. And Queen Extravaganza firmly falls into this exclusive camp. In fact, this lively outfit has been labelled the real act’s ‘own official tribute band’ by none other than legendary drummer Roger Taylor. If that doesn’t make the Extravaganza royalty too, well, we don’t know what will.
Queen Extravaganza, who have been produced by both Taylor and guitarist Brian May, rock the Hall for Cornwall’s beautiful three-tiered Cornwall Playhouse auditorium in Truro on Sunday 17 March 2024. Expect a ‘spectacular 90-minute show’ of around 20 Queen classics from the band’s biggest hits and other favourites. Expect a fully-charged performance by this exceptional tribute act.

Queen Extravanagza, which has been touring the world for more than a decade, is actually made up of a rolling lineup of musicians. Each one of these talents has been handpicked by May and Taylor. Whatever the lineup, though, the tribute act always puts plenty of power and energy into its performances so that it’s as close as possible to the real thing for all the fans who flock to catch them.
The cast for the February and March 2024 tour that includes this special Cornwall gig is Alirio Netto and Gareth Taylor on vocals, Nick Radcliffe on guitar, George Farrar on drums and François-Olivier Doyon on bass. Tickets have sadly sold out for the Hall for Cornwall gig.
It should be a special kind of magic when Queen Extravaganza rock the crowd in Truro. Is this the real life or is this just fantasy? Nope, it’s real and it’s live in March 2024. See you there!
