TRURO SUMMER FARMERS MARKET 2023 TAKES PLACE ON FRIDAY 18 AND SATURDAY 19 AUGUST 2023 AT LEMON QUAY. KNOWN AS THE BIG SUMMER MARKET 2023, THIS WILL BE A HAVEN FOR SEASONAL FOOD, DRINK AND ENTERTAINMENT…

Summer is here and that means that the Truro Farmers Market team is joining forces with Cornwall Shop Small to create the BIG Summer Market 2023 at Lemon Quay in Truro. Also known as the 2023 Truro Summer Farmers Market, expect seasonal bargains, refreshing beverages, competitions and tons of entertainment for all ages.

This ‘two-day celebration of bountiful local produce and creative spirit’ takes place between 9am and 4pm on both Friday 18 and Saturday 19 August 2023. Some of the Duchy’s most gifted food producers, craft makers and artisan drinks purveyors will bring their wares to the market under, hopefully, a sunny sky.

More than 60 stalls will be at the 2023 BIG Summer Market in Truro and there’s also going to be plenty of live music, street food and craft demonstrations alongside all manner of summer entertainment. On the Saturday, there’s even a chilli eating competition that will make the idea of being hot at this time of year, well, a pretty apt one. It’s open to the public and features an array of Cornish chillis. Check the official website for times and details.

Thousands of people from across Cornwall and beyond are expected to descend on Truro for the best summer market in Cornwall 2023. All sorts of seasonal foods will be on offer, as well as a chance to ‘meet the makers’ of the fine produce. Bucketloads of local meat for the barbecue will be on sale, as will artisanal cheeses, beers, ciders and fresh fish.

Take an empty stomach, a full wallet and probably some sunscreen to the 2023 Truro Summer Farmers Market. You’ll leave with a stuffed belly and plenty to take home with you for that end-of-weekend barbecue. Cheers!
