WANT TO DISCOVER THE LAND’S END LANDMARK ATTRACTIONS? STEP RIGHT THIS WAY AS WE EXPLORE THE LANDMARK AND THE ATTRACTIONS AROUND THIS FAMOUS CORNISH SPOT…

Land’s End. One of the most famous spots in the UK. This headland on the Penwith peninsula is not only the most westerly point of mainland Cornwall but of the whole of England – and it would be for the whole of Great Britain if it weren’t for Corrachadh Mòr in the Scottish Highlands. It’s certainly the country’s most southwesterly point. Anyone who visits Cornwall just has to visit Land’s End so they can see this historically lauded spot and so they can enjoy the Landmark.

The Landmark – which is next to Sennen Cove, not far from Penzance and just up the coast from Porthcurno – refers to the tourist attraction that surrounds the famous ‘Land’s End’ signpost which you can pose for a photo at for a charge. The attraction includes a range of fun family experiences, a shopping village, restaurants and cafés alongside stunning clifftop trails and outstanding vistas. These are, in fact, the Land’s End Landmark attractions.

Visit Aardman Presents: A Grand Experience, which features ‘Wallace and Gromit’ characters in an interactive environment. Enjoy the Jolly Roger 4D Film Experience which includes squirting water, seat movements and air blasts while you’re watching the movie. Go on Arthur’s Quest, which throws you into a magical world where you must pass Merlin’s challenges, including a dragon and a gorge of fire.

Land’s End used to be called Belerion – meaning ‘the shining land’ – by the ancient Celts centuries ago and it’s been private land since 1066 which has always been kept open and conserved for the public to explore. There are farm animals here to meet at Greeb Farm after you’ve tried the main experiences in the Landmark. Then there’s the eateries, including the Land’s End Hotel, Bar and Restaurant and the First and Last Inn. And then there’s the shops in the village, selling everything from souvenirs and scrumpy to clothes and candy.

Pre-booking your car parking is not essential at Land’s End but it is advised. And it must be remembered that it’s free to take in this glorious piece of coastline once you’ve left your vehicle. It’s up to you what attractions in the Landmark you want to pay for and enjoy, if any. Money made from the car parking goes towards preserving the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that surrounds Land’s End, one of England’s most special places and one of Cornwall’s top tourist attractions for at least the past few hundreds of years.
