ADRENALIN QUARRY NEAR LISKEARD IS ONE OF THE BEST EXTREME SPORTS ATTRACTIONS IN CORNWALL. ENJOY ZIP LINES, WILD SWIMMING, GO-KARTING, A MASSIVE AQUAPARK AND MUCH MORE AT THIS SOUTH CORNWALL ATTRACTION!

You know you’re an adrenaline junkie if you get pumped about an attraction’s catchline that says ‘throwing people off cliffs since 2009’. Adrenalin Quarry is exciting, extreme and energetic all rolled into one. Prepare for a unique outdoor experience.

Adrenalin Quarry, just outside of Menheniot and not far from Liskeard, is crammed with ‘rides’ that get the heart racing. It’s got a gravity park, water park and go-karting, all set in beautiful countryside and with plenty of picnic areas and wild swimming options to boot. Perhaps the biggest draw is the 800m all-weather go-karting zone, where anyone over the age of seven can climb into one of the vehicles and race their family or mates, getting lap-by-lap printouts to take home with them.

The ‘throwing people off cliffs’ line refers to The Zip, once the UK’s longest zip wire. This is another huge draw as it reaches speeds of up to 40mph. It’s 490m long, 50m off the ground and surrounded by gorgeous Cornish views as you fly down one of two parallel wires over the quarry. Anyone between 25kg and 115kg can do it, regardless of age – three-year-olds have zipped, as have grannies and grandads.

The Aquapark sits on the quarry lake. It’s a massive inflatable playground for anyone over the age of six who wants to bounce on huge trampolines, glide down slippy slides and climb across even slippier monkey bars. Other highlights at Adrenalin Quarry include a Giant Swing that just needs to be seen – and experienced – to be believed by anyone of any age. Also try your hand at axe throwing if you want to be a lumberjack.

Book online before you visit, so click on the link and see Adrenalin Quarry’s website for details of how to do that. And take a picnic or hit up one of the venue’s Snack Shacks for treats like pasties and ice creams. Then get back on one of those rocket-fuelled ‘rides’, leaving your stomach in the air and your pulse racing like it’s never done before.
