No other attraction in the UK – let alone Cornwall – comes close to the Eden Project. This is the grandaddy of the county’s major must-visits, with more than a million people wandering its impressive biomes every year, give a lockdown or two. Grab your Eden Project Cornwall tickets from the attraction’s website and head here for an unforgettable experience.

Nestled in a huge crater, Eden, which is about five kilometres to the north-east of St Austell and not far from Bodmin or Fowey in a hamlet called Bodelva, is actually an educational charity whose mission is to connect people ‘with each other and the living world’. Its two iconic biomes – each consisting of several domes joined together – house the largest rainforest in captivity, fully equipped with incredible plants from all over the world. The Rainforest Biome is home to an array of tropical plants that are used to produce so many products that we know and use today. The Mediterranean Biome, on the other hand, showcases vines, lemon trees, olive groves and much more besides.

And it’s not just about the biomes. There are contemporary gardens around the site, which opened in 2001, as well as an ongoing programme of exhibitions, workshops for adults and children, shows, activity days and massive music concerts to bring the visitors in. Kids get a lot out of a full day visit here as they can find out all sorts of plant-based facts and travel to lands within the biomes that they will never have seen before.

On top of this, there’s the site’s restaurants, cafés, gift shops and baby-friendly toilet facilities, as well as excellent disabled access facilities and it’s even pet-friendly so the dog can also get something out of this inimitable attraction in the heart of the Cornish countryside. Head to the official website link below and go and book your Eden Project Cornwall tickets now. Some people call Eden the ‘eighth wonder of the world’. Since it boasts two major biomes, we think it counts as the ninth wonder too.
