Are you a Lewis Hamilton fan but your mate or family member prefers Max Verstappen? Well, how are you going to find out which Formula One driver is the best? Head to a go-kart circuit and settle it on the track, we reckon. And there are few more impressive tracks in the country than the St Eval Kart Circuit.

Stretching out on land between Wadebridge, Padstow and Newquay, St Eval is a mecca for go-kart fanatics. The massive outdoor 1.3km track is crammed with only the best go-karts and caters for all group sizes, abilities and ages, as long as you are seven years old or above. It has been claimed that the UK’s biggest children’s kart circuit is here, as well as the ‘largest and fastest’ adult kart circuit in the South West. It’s certainly in pole position in the county and offers a heart-racing day out on the track.

It’s not a cheap sport is go-karting so do check out the prices online first. And also note that all the karting must be pre-booked but then prepare for a family war on the tracks or perhaps take part in one of the pre-arranged races that the team here puts together. With refreshment facilities, free parking and decent toilets all on the site, a trip to St Eval is worth the drive for all the young motormouths and petrolheads out there itching to be the next Lewis Hamilton. And the old bangers will also enjoy the experience, for that matter.
