PARADHIS FESTIVAL 2024 TAKES PLACE BETWEEN FRIDAY 5 AND SUNDAY 7 JULY 2024 ON THE BOCONNOC ESTATE IN SOUTH EAST CORNWALL. THIS IS THE NEW FEST’S INAUGURAL EDITION AND MORCHEEBA ARE HEADLINING. EXCITING!

Festivals come and go in Cornwall but the good ones stay, sometimes for decades. Paradhis Festival has the potential to be one of those festivals that stays for years, simply because it’s doing something unique and, well, good. It’s focusing as much on well-being, nature and meditation as it is on music.

Paradhis 2024 in Boconnoc, Cornwall, takes place on Friday 5, Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 July 2024. It’s on the beautiful Boconnoc Estate in South East Cornwall, which sits in gorgeous countryside between St Austell, Liskeard, Looe, Bodmin, Fowey and Lostwithiel.

It’s a festival that organisers say is ‘a unique blend of mindfulness, meditation, yoga, nature and more’ and they add that it is ‘complemented by an eclectic mix of music to create an ethereal, transformative experience’. Paradise, basically. Which is handy because the Cornish word ‘Paradhis’ means just that in English.

Who is playing the 2024 Paradhis Festival? Well, the headliners are Morcheeba, who don’t really need any introduction. The trip-hop, folk-rock, sunny, soulful and downtempo electronic act were massive in the 1990s and they still have a huge following today. Our favourite album is 1998’s ‘Big Calm’ and frankly there isn’t a more fitting title for a record to suit this Paradise 2024 festival in Cornwall…

Also on the bill are Afriquoi, who will bring their enthralling rhythms and unique blend of African and electronic music. Also expect fab UK-based singer-songwriter FaceSoul, hauntingly melodic singer-songwriter Scott Matthews and the Hang Massive duo who have brought hang drum music into the 21st century, combining the instrument with chilled electronic music.

Expect an array of other musicians, acts, DJs and bands from across the globe to be announced before the big festival in July 2024. Check this page for updates as we will bring you the lineup as and when more acts are announced.

Arguably bigger than the musical acts in terms of a global audience is one of the world’s best-known yoga teachers, Shiva Rea, who is at the festival throughout the three days. She curates a superb lineup of facilitators, workshops and ceremonies at the ‘Transformation Stations’ area that is dedicated to the ‘soulful wellness experience’ during the festival.

The big music acts will be on the main stage at Paradhis 2024, which is called the ‘New Horizons’ stage. Also expect deer safaris and nature rambles from the ‘Nature and Nurture Tent’ and drum circles around a firepit alongside storytelling at the ‘Tribal Tent’.

In fact, here’s a rundown of the stages and areas at the fest: there’s the ‘New Horizons’ main stage, the ‘Transformation Stations’ wellness experience area, ‘Sound Waves’ at Boconnoc Church, the ‘Nature and Nurture Tent’, the ‘Soul Essence’ Wellness Tent, the ‘Tribal Tent’, the ‘Guardians of the Lake’ area and the ‘Cacao Temple and The Rainbow Bridge’ wellbeing area.

The organisers say that they are attempting to ‘create a magical space’ at the fest where festival-goers, over three days, ‘can immerse themselves in the world of music and well-being’ while they surround themselves in the beautiful Boconnoc scenery and enjoy the peaceful serenity of the estate.

Expect ‘a diverse range of well-being activities’ throughout the three days such as yoga, breathwork, sound healing and forest bathing. Also expect personal sessions with expert practitioners alongside group workshops. And look out for the glamping options that are available when booking your tickets.

So, as the Paradhis 2024 music festival’s organisers say: take a deep breath, let go of your stresses and grab your ticket for this unique South East Cornwall festival. Aaaaand relax!
