Football or golf? Can’t decide which to play? Hell, go for both! Cornwall Football Golf combines both sports into an afternoon of fun for all the family.

Cornwall Football Golf, on the eastern outskirts of St Austell and only five minutes away from the mega-attraction that is the Eden Project, is a combination of crazy golf and football. Participants kick a football across a course with the aim of the game being to chip it into a hole and notch up the least amount of shots possible in order to win the game. It’s as simple as that but try negotiating the many obstacles on the course. It’s not easy.

Built for adults and kids thanks to the different-sized footballs that are available, this is indeed a game that just screams fun for every family member. Standing stones, tyres, specially crafted hedges, water traps and sand pits line two courses, the Hillside and the Parkland, that actually weave around each other. You can play just one of the courses or pay for an ‘unlimited’ day ticket so you and your clan can chip, kick and shoot your way around both courses as many times as you want throughout the day. One course takes a group of four around two hours to complete and there’s also a play area for the under-fives at this attraction. A training area where you can beat a cardboard goalie is available for all to use as well.

No pre-booking is required at Cornwall Football Golf and it’s open every day. Just rock up in your trainers or astroturf boots and prepare to become Ronaldo and Tiger Woods at the same time. And, when you get hungry or thirsty, the ‘19th hole’ clubhouse serves up hot food and drinks to all visitors. So what are you waiting for? England to win the World Cup? Lace up those shoes and shoot your way to glory in one of the most unique games you’ll find in Cornwall.
