Type: Fireworks displays at the famous steam attraction
Suitable for: All the family. The historic 18th century engine house is ‘brought alive’ by the Kernow Fireworks Company

Time: 6pm-12midnight
Location: Wax Bar and Kitchen, on the B3276 at Watergate Bay, Newquay
Type: Massive fireworks display (from 7.30pm) organised by the bar but viewable from across the beautiful bay
Suitable for: Anyone who wants good fireworks followed by some drinks in the bar
Price: Adults £5 on the gate. Under-16s go for free (and parking is free, plus free entry to the park’s kids club)
Proper Cornwall Guy Fawkes rating: 7/10. Some pretty decent fireworks in a colourful display that can be seen far and wide

Time: 5pm-11pm
Location: Tregony Sports Field, 3 Back Ln, Tregony, Truro
Type: The works. On a sports field
Suitable for: Everyone as there’s a bar, food, churros, fairground rides, a bouncy castle and local band Big Fish play the crowds from 9pm
Price: Adults £5 on the gate. Under-16s are £3 and under-fives go for free

Location: Bude Rugby Club, Stratton road, Bude
Type: Fireworks display at the rugby club. Display begins at 7.30pm
Suitable for: Anyone. You don’t need to be a rugby type!
Price: Adults £5. Children £3. Under-fives go for free

Time: 4pm-10pm
Location: Port Eliot House and Gardens, Tideford Drive, St Germans, near Saltash, Liskeard and Looe
Type: The works. On a posh estate near Plymouth
Suitable for: All the family, with a big bonfire (lit at 6.30pm), a fireworks display (from 8pm) and loads of food vendors and bars
Price: Adults £10 on the gate. Under-15s are £5 and under-fives go for free
Proper Cornwall Guy Fawkes rating: 8/10. Solid bonfire and pyrotechnics over the grand gardens

Date: Saturday 5 November 2022
Time: 4pm-10pm
Location: Heartlands, Dudnance Lane, Pool, near Redruth
Type: The full works: bonfire, fireworks and fun
Suitable for: All the family. There’s a fairground, food and drink vendors and a performance from one of the world’s best Queen cover bands

Time: 5pm-11.30pm
Location: Driftwood Spars pub, Trevaunance Road, St Agnes, near Perranporth
Type: Free fireworks display and bonfire night that returns after a two-year hiatus
Suitable for: All the family as there’s also live music, a children’s entertainer, fire dancers, jugglers, food and small batch beers
Price: Free
Proper Cornwall Guy Fawkes rating: 8/10. Fireworks that ‘light up Trevaunance Cove‘ and a barbecue and hog roast to boot

Time: Doors open from 6pm
Location: Falmouth Cricket Club, Trescobeas Road, Falmouth
Type: The works with plenty of food stalls, children’s rides and even a group of fire eaters!
Suitable for: All the family. The firefighters from Falmouth Fire Station organise the event and actually set the pyrotechnics off themselves!
Price: Adults £4. Children £2
Proper Cornwall Guy Fawkes rating: 9/10. A total of ‘8k of fireworks set to music’. Yeah, that’s pretty impressive!

Location: Sea View Farm Shop, Higher Tynes, off the B3314 at St Teath, near Port Isaac, Tintagel and Bodmin
Type: Intimate bonfire night event on farm shop land
Suitable for: All the family, especially fans of local folk and shanty band Cousin Jack
Price: Adults £6. Under-16s are £3 and under-threes go for free
Proper Cornwall Guy Fawkes rating: 7/10. Good bonfire, fireworks and mulled cider on sale

Date: Saturday 5 November 2022
Time: 6.30pm-8.30pm
Location: Chacewater Village Hall, Church Hill, Chacewater, between Redruth and Truro
Type: Fireworks display with a big bonfire and barbecue on Millennium Green, which is next door to the village hall
Suitable for: Families. There’s a ‘judging of the homemade guy’ competition so good luck with that!
Price: Adults £3. Children £2
Proper Cornwall Guy Fawkes rating: 7/10. Ace fireworks and a good bonfire in an intimate setting

Location: Tencreek Holiday Park, Polperro Road, Looe
Type: The full works with a massive hog’s roast thrown in
Suitable for: Families, especially with young children as they can meet Deano the Dolphin and Sparky The Sharky before enjoying the ‘Kids Funtime’ show after the main display
